Ramzan is the holy month of the muslim religion. It is believed that during this month, the gates to the hell is closed and the gates to heaven is opened. During this month muslims fast from sunrise to sunset. Fasting is considered as one of the fundamental principles of the muslim religion.
This festival falls mostly on the month of June, which is based on the visibility of stars. On this month, muslims have a healthy food in early morning which lasts them for the whole day. In the fasting period, they are calm and composed reciting prayers in their holy shrines. They break the fast after the sunset in the traditional way of sipping some water and eating dates.
The main theme of this fasting is the detoxification of one’s body and soul and also to realize the pain and suffering of the unfortunates. Fasting is unforced for people with health conditions, elderly people, children and some.
After the sunset, muslims break their fast and have special food known as iftar meals. Ramzan is celebrated by all the muslim people around the world. During this festival, muslims gather with their family, prepare special dishes and share it with their neighbours.
